CADAF x Life Of The Artist
In 2020, we had the pleasure of partnering with CADAF, a discovery and interaction platform dedicated to digital and new media art. It regularly hosts international art fairs, special events, art exhibitions and talks. CADAF is also a product of New Art Group LLC, along with New Art Academy, dedicated to art + tech education.
CADAF was interested in the work of Sarah Derat, and her connection with mythology and digital technology. In the last few years, her work has evolved and now encompasses more disciplines, especially sound, video, AI, AR. She ventures into tech and technological innovation and how they have an impact on human cognition, language, and empathy. What she does is very research-based and focuses her interest on looking at interconnectivity of systems.
Sarah is also part of a program called ‘Mind Spaces’, dedicated to working with neuro-scientists, technologists and engineers that undergo large research on different pilot cases. She is involved to improve the emotional well-being of people suffering from neuro-generative diseases, Alzheimer’s, Dementia. Sarah is also trying to look at ways to improve the emotional and mental health of elderly people and she is developing more works with AI, to trigger memory through nonverbal and emotional communication.
For all her work in digital art and commitments, CADAF shared our interview with Sarah Derat.
